Even if it's outside her area of expertise, she has the relationships and resources available to get you what you need, when you need it.

A 1-on-1 prenatal meeting and the ultimate birth planning session! This mom-favorite session usually lasts 2 hours and gives us a chance to go through the Giant List of Birth Options. You have a lot of choices when it comes to your birth! This is the perfect way to figure out what would work best for you and what back-up plans can be put in place. It also ensures everyone is on the same page and ready for your birth!

This session is personalized to your needs! You’ll work with your doula to choose one of the following options: 

- Beyond the Basics

- Mind, Body, Baby

- Postpartum and Breastfeeding

- Pre-Induction Session

- Care Provider Visit

From the time that you decide you need her, until about 1-2 hours after your birth, your doula will be with you! Many doulas say they will join once you’re in active labor (or 6cm dilated), but not us. Having a team allows us to provide relief support in rare cases of labors lasting more than 18 hours so we’re able to come earlier and stay longer (with as much privacy as you’d like). This typically looks like your doula going to your home first to support you through some early labor contractions, transferring to your place of birth together (in our own cars), supporting you through the birth, and then staying until after baby's first feeding. Whether your labor takes 4 hours or 34 hours, she will be by your side as much as you'd like.

About 24 hours after birth, your doula will stop by to check on you, wherever you happen to be. This visit can be between 15 minutes - 1 hour. She can bring food, help with breastfeeding, and make sure you're feeling as comfortable and loved as possible.

This visit typically takes place about 1 week after birth and can last up to 2 hours. Your doula is available to answer questions, help with feeding, refill your water, and/or even start a load of laundry! It can also be incredibly beneficial for you to share your birth story and let out all the details you may not want to share with others. Of course your doula was there, but this creates a safe space to talk about anything you need to talk about
